Warning: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Chicago' for 'CDT/-5.0/DST' instead in /backup/qa/www/sub/rss/product.php on line 32

I was trying to use the produce with a Finale Music program.
Seems like a great program. I have used it a little, mostly for testing purposes. We are looking for a program that will allow us to create TIF (one f not two 'TIF vs. TIFF') images from any program. This program does really well at creating TIFF images and pdf's, and is very easy to use and install. Highly recommended.

However if I had the option of picking which format of TIFf to print too, it would be vastly more usefull to me.

Thanks for the great product at a very great price! Free!

I have been a user of Primo PDF as a virtual printer for some time, but this time I need to go from a PDF file into a Jpeg, so I've been looking for FREE software to do it.

I downloaded Polestar Virtual PDF driver, and tried to convert from a PDF file into a Jpeg. It works well enough. Setup the program and then it will capture a printer output and write it to a file. polestar writes out in a dozen or so formats. Its main claim to fame is to PDF, which is VERY handy.

I wanted Jpeg, however. Problem is the result is in black and white. Despite trying GIF, TIFF, BMap and Jpeg, always the same. My PDF file, which is quite definitely in colour, printed using the stock-standard Adobe Acrobat reader, produces monochrome output when used in the raster image file formats.

Printing from anything other than Adobe Acrobat reader seems to produce a colour image, but from Adobe Acrobat Reader when going to a jpeg or bmap or similar gives you only a monocrhome result.

This is a really handy program, and will mean you can get pdf files from any program that can print. It also drops printer images into jpegs, etc, which is handy if you want to set something up in Word or Publisher or even internet explorer, and then drop it to a jpeg. I will certainly be keeping the progam on my system.

But for the MAIN reason I want it - ie to drop a pdf file into a jpeg, it's not going to be up to the task.

If you want to convert anything into a PDF or indeed a raster graphical file (eg jpeg) the program is VERY VERY handy.
